QLV prioritises you and your eyes
What we do:
Queensland Laser Vision is proud to be the first Laser eye surgery centre in Brisbane. We have been performing Laser eye surgery for over 29 years and have been privileged to help thousands see clearly without glasses or contacts.
Our doctors are world renowned Ophthalmic Surgeons dedicated to improving people’s lives by striving for clinical excellence along with patient care.
How we do it better…
Confused if LASIK, PRK or SMILE is best for you? Our in depth assessment will determine the best treatment appropriate for you and your lifestyle, both now and the future. Patients appreciate our honest approach – we will only recommend what is best for your eyes.
No two eyes are the same. Every procedure is customised to ensure the best possible outcome. Our team take the time to explain and address any concerns you may have – all follow up appointments are included.
Our QLV surgeons are dedicated to providing you with the best possible results. Vision correction outcomes can be reliant on the technique and expertise of your surgeon. Trust your eyes with Queensland’s first Laser eye surgeons.
Your Assessment – What to expect
•Allow 1 hour of your time
•Wear your spectacles
•Leave your soft contact lenses out for at least 3-4 days prior
•Leave RGP/hard contacts/Ortho-K lenses out for at least 2-3 weeks prior
•Bring sunglasses: your eyes will be sensitive to the light and glare
•DO NOT DRIVE after the assessment as your pupils will be dilated
During the assessment we use eye drops which will dilate your pupils.
This effect can last up to 24 hours. Reading vision will be blurry for 3-4 hours.
Contact lenses make the results inaccurate, so it’s important to follow the above guide.
If you’ve never had laser eye surgery before, your initial assessment is free. However, if you’d had laser eye surgery at another clinic in Australia, or overseas, and you’re now experiencing visual change or need a check-up, these consultations are different and more involved than an initial assessment process, so a consultation fee is applicable.
