Dr William Glasson (MB,BS (QLD), FRANZCO, FRCOphth, Dip App Sci (Optom)(QLD))

Dr William Glasson studied optometry and medicine in Brisbane and London and began his work with the Excimer Laser Vision Group in 1996. His interests involve cataract and refractive surgery.

He is a member of the Australian, American and International Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS), (AUSCRS) and (ISCRS). He also belongs to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO).

He is visiting Medical Officer to The Brisbane Mater Hospital, the Longreach Hospital and the 2 Field Hospital at the Enoggera Barracks. He is a former National President of the AMA.

Dr Glasson currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel as consultant ophthalmologist to 1 Military District Defence Medical Force.When Dr Glasson is not consulting from his private practice in Brisbane or travelling to peripheral practices in Longreach, Blackall, Barcaldine and Winton, he spends time with his three children and wife, Claire.
