EPILASIK laser eye surgery to restore natural vision
EpiLASIK is an innovative new procedure designed to restore natural vision with the help of an epikeratome. The surgeon uses an epikeratome which is a plastic plate that creates an epithelial sheet, to make a thin flap in the epithelium. Unlike PRK, the cells are not damaged by loosening, they are simply pushed to the side to allow access to the softer tissue underneath.

The excimer laser beam is then applied to successfully correct refractive errors and restore clear vision.
Recovery time is more rapid than PRK, and there is a reduction in discomfort.
