Queensland Laser Vision Assessment Process
1. Assessment
This complimentary appointment is provided to determine your eligibility for LASIK/PRK and includes a full medical examination of your eyes. At this assessment the consultant will go through all the options available to you and will answer any queries or concerns you may have.
If you are suitable for LASIK/PRK or EPILASIK our staff will organise for you to see the Queensland Laser Vision surgeon of your choice.
 |
You will be required to bring a driver with you or organise alternative transport following the assessment, as you will have had drops in your eyes to dilate the pupils. These drops will cause your vision to blur, which may affect your judgement, hence we recommend no driving following the assessment. Bringing sunglasses is advised, as you may be sensitive to glare and sunlight after your appointment.
2. Pre-op Consultation with the Ophthalmologist.
Prior to surgery a complimentary consultation with the Ophthalmologist is provided to enable you to ask any further questions, or to address any concerns regarding the LASIK/PRK procedure.
